CONTEST AND PRIZES!

Salve a tutti. Come alcuni fra voi probabilmente ricorderanno, negli scorsi due anni ho indetto un concorso per la copertina dei volumi "Sexy & Chaotic", dedicati a Myriam, una delle due protagoniste di Agenzia Incantesimi. Quest'anno, per la terza edizione del concorso, ci saranno sostanziali (e spero graditi) cambiamenti.
Il primo, e più importante, riguarda il cambio di soggetto: il volume del 2013, dal titolo "Enchanting", sarà infatti dedicato a Jasmine ed è quindi lei che dovranno ritrarre le illustrazioni in concorso. Il soggetto è libero, l'unica richiesta è che abbia come soggetto Jasmine, possibilmente (ma NON obbligatoriamente) mentre compie un qualche incantesimo a vostra scelta (il cui effetto non è necessario vedere, può anche semplicemente "emettere luce dalle mani", un classico). Magari con qualche bell'abito elegante (esatto, questa volta il tema non è erotico!). Come sempre sono escluse dal concorso immagini pornografiche o violente.
La seconda novità è costituita dai premi. Esatto, al plurale, perché se il primo e più consistente premio (100 euro) verrà assegnato al vincitore, la cui illustrazione verrà poi pubblicata come copertina del volume, quattro premi minori verranno assegnati ad altrettante opere. Per la precisione:

1° premio: 100 euro per la pubblicazione della copertina + 3 copie del volume.
2° premio: un buono acquisto di 50 euro presso la fumetteria Arcadia Oltre le Nuvole + 3 copie del volume
3° premio: 20 albi a scelta fra quelli editi dalle Edizioni Arcadia + 2 copie del volume
4° premio: 10 albi a scelta fra quelli editi dalle Edizioni Arcadia + 2 copie del volume
5° premio: 3 copie del volume

Tutti gli altri partecipanti le cui opere verranno pubblicate all'interno del libro riceveranno un pdf a bassa risoluzione del medesimo.

Oltre ai primi cinque classificati, sul volume verrà pubblicata una selezione fra le altre illustrazioni pervenute. La scadenza per il concorso è il 31 Maggio 2013, I vincitori verranno annunciati dopo un paio di settimane dal termine del concorso, i premi consegnati o spediti a partire dalla fine di Giugno. ATTENZIONE: poiché il volume verrà pubblicato in occasione della prossima Lucca Comics & Games, a fine Ottobre del 2013, le copie destinate ai vincitori non potranno essere spedite o consegnate prima di quel periodo. Lo so, è logico, ma è meglio specificarlo!
Le opere saranno insindacabilmente valutate da una giuria composta da Teresa Marzia, Giacomo Pueroni e il sottoscritto.

Per il resto, valgono le regole degli scorsi anni: il concorso è aperto a tutti gli iscritti a Deviant Art, da tutti i paesi, e le opere in concorso possono essere realizzate con qualunque tecnica. Le opere in concorso dovranno avere una risoluzione minima di 450 dpi, in formato tif o jpeg, e dovranno essere in proporzione con le dimensioni del volume, ovvero cm. 16,5 di base per 23,5 di altezza. Chiunque partecipi al concorso acconsente implicitamente alla pubblicazione della propria opera all'interno del volume. Gli autori rimarranno proprietari delle loro opere, che potranno pubblicare sui loro siti.

Hi everyone. As some of you may recall, in the past two years I held contests for the covers of the volumes "Sexy & Chaotic", dedicated to Myriam, one of the two main characters of my series Enchantment Agency. This year, for the third edition of the contest, there will be substantial changes.
The first, and most important, concerns the change of subject: the volume of 2013, entitled "Enchanting", it will be dedicated to Jasmine and she is the one who will be portrayed in the illustrations for the contest. The subject is free, the only requirement is that the subject has to be Jasmine, possibly (but NOT mandatory) while performing some spell of your choice (the effect of which is not necessary to see, she can simply "flash light from her hands," a classic!). Maybe with some nice dress (yes, this time the theme is not erotic!). As always, pornographic or violent images are excluded from the contest.
The second new feature is the prizes. That's right, plural, because if the first and most substantial price (100 euros) will be awarded to the winner (whose work will be published as on the book's cover), other four smaller prizes will be awarded. In detail:

1st prize: 100€ for the publication on the cover + 3 copies of the book.
2nd prize: a gift voucher of 50€ at the bookshop Arcadia Oltre le Nuvole + 3 copies of the book
3rd prize: 20 books to choose among those published by Edizioni Arcadia + 2 copies of the book
4th prize: 10 books to choose among those published by Edizioni Arcadia + 2 copies of the book
5th prize: 3 copies of volume

All the other authors published in the book will receive a low-res pdf of the book.

In addition to the top five, a selection of works will be published in the volume. The deadline for the contest is May 31, 2013. Winners will be announced after a couple of weeks after the end of the contest, the prizes delivered or shipped from the end of June. CAUTION: Since the volume will be published in the next Lucca Comics & Games fair, in late October of 2013, copies for the winners can not be shipped or delivered prior to that time. I know, it is logical, but it is better to specify it!
The submissions will unquestionably be judged by a jury of Teresa Marzia, Giacomo Pueroni and myself.

For the rest, rules are the same of the last two years: The competition is open to all members of Deviant Art, from all countries, and the entries can be made using any technique.
